Retired and looking for a Constructive Purpose to Aid Our Community?

Imagine being part of a community-driven force that not only addresses the nationwide nursing shortage but also shapes the future of healthcare right here in our locality. The South Carolina Nurse Retention Initiative (SCNRI) offers you the chance to do just that, providing a meaningful and constructive purpose for those retired and looking to make a positive impact.

Why SCNRI?
Quality medical care hinges on a robust nursing force, and our community is no exception. SCNRI is not just another scholarship program; it's a unique retention initiative that makes nursing education more affordable and attractive for students facing financial barriers.

Our Impact: A Testament to Success
Over the past four years, SCNRI has already made a substantial impact. With 34 nurses under contract and an additional 10 set to graduate in 2024, we've been instrumental in addressing the nursing shortage in our community.

The Power of Your Involvement
Now, we're looking to solidify and grow our operation, and we need your help. Your involvement in SCNRI is an opportunity to show that our community values and holds nursing professionals in high esteem. By joining us, you're not just contributing; you're becoming a driving force in retaining and attracting newly graduated nurses to our locality.

How You Can Contribute: Diverse Opportunities Await!
Whether you're interested in event planning, public speaking, grant writing, or administration, SCNRI has many diverse positions available. Your skills can make a real difference in the following areas:

  • Creating and planning events
  • Presenting the program to local organizations such as Rotaries, Chambers of Commerce, and Community Organizations
  • Speaking at high school career days
  • Researching grant opportunities and writing proposals
  • Organizing social events to promote our unique program
