Bluffton Jasper County Volunteers in Medicine (BJVIM) serves as a medical home providing free medical, dental, and mental health care for uninsured neighbors who live or work in greater Bluffton and Jasper County. Here, volunteer medical providers (registered nurse, physicians assistant) can focus on what matters most: listening to patients and providing thoughtful, compassionate care.
Medical Professionals may choose to volunteer at either or both of our clinics located in Bluffton, SC, and Ridgeland, SC. Primary care, cardiology, gynecology, gastroenterology, neurology, podiatry, and many other speciality areas are available.
Volunteer medical providers must hold a current, active medical license and be comfortable using computers and electronic clinical systems. Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts are available Monday through Thursday. A minimum commitment of eight hours, or two shifts, per month is required.

You are also invited to attend our Volunteer Orientation, held on the third Thursday of each month from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at our Bluffton clinic where a clinic tour will be provided.
