Who We Are
WAHHI membership includes women who live on Hilton Head Island, in the Town of Bluffton, and in those communities with access to Highway 278, up to and including Island West, and within the area bounded by the Colleton River to the north and the May River to the south, to become members.
What We Do
The goals of WAHHI are to promote the natural and cultural beauty of the island, to encourage projects which benefit the community and to facilitate communication among the women of the island. WAHHI’s commitment to the community is strong. At the Holiday luncheon, members bring presents and donations to benefit children’s organizations on Hilton Head Island and greater Bluffton. In the spring, the organization presents Youth Community Service Awards to seniors from Hilton Head and Bluffton High Schools who have demonstrated outstanding community service. In 2016, the WAHHI Charitable Fund was established for the purpose of giving a “helping hand” to local non-profits. Each May the Charitable Fund will award grants based on established criteria.
