Who We Are
The Outside Foundation was formed in 2014 with a mission to get kids outside and to preserve and protect our local environment.
What We Do
The vision of The Outside Foundation is to foster the development of environmental stewardship in local youth that contributes to a sustainable salt marsh and coastal environment for current and future residents and visitors to the Lowcountry.
The Foundation seeks to develop, enhance, and expand programs directed at providing opportunities for children and their families to explore and develop lasting connections with our local waters and ecosystem.
The Outside Foundation is proud to sponsor the "Kids in Kayaks" program which allows seventh grade students, and their teachers, an opportunity to kayak and explore the local salt marsh and tidal river ecosystem during a regular school day. The Foundation also sponsors 5 kayak-based clean ups of local waterways each year.
