Who We Are
The Port Royal Sound Foundation's mission is to preserve the Port Royal Sound for the environmental, cultural and economic well-being of our area. The Port Royal Sound Foundation runs the Maritime Center located in Okatie, SC. The Maritime Center opened in 2014 and attracts visitors from Beaufort and surrounding areas as well as visitors from all over the world. The Maritime Center is always free to visit and is open Monday-Friday from 10am-5pm and Saturday from 10am-4pm.
What We Do
The Port Royal Sound Foundation is focused on education and research. We host thousands of students on field trips each year as well ass offer educational programming for adults. We host several special events each year from lecture series to our big Night on the Sound fundraiser. For more information, visit our website!
