Who We Are

Our program consists of nine phenomenal horses that offer their own unique way of helping the participant. Our program instructor is a PATH certified riding instructor and a Special Olympics coach. Our executive Director, a horseman himself, established a riding school in the Lowcountry in 2019 after moving his successful riding program from Virginia. Given the success the programs have had and the hospitality shown by the low country, it only seemed like the most reasonable next step to open an equine assisted services Program to the community.

What We Do

In partnership with The Community Foundation of the Lowcountry (CFL) and Friends of the Equestrian Center (FOTEC), Moss Creek Equine Assisted Programs hopes to bridge the financial gap between these participants and the services we offer. Through donations and grants from the CFL we can continue our mission: To provide opportunities for individuals with special needs to participate in equine assisted programs focused on enhancing their health and well-being through fostering horse and human interaction. Horses as animals, possess unique qualities that enable them to mirror our human emotions and fears and either present them back to us or help us overcome them.
