The Legacy Foundation of South Carolina

The Legacy Foundation of SC is a community-centered nonprofit dedicated to helping students in Jasper County thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. Through educational enrichment, socio-emotional support, creative learning experiences, wellness initiatives, and athletic programming, we provide opportunities that extend beyond the traditional classroom.

Working alongside schools, families, community organizations, and public and private partners, we help bridge learning disparities, create safe and supportive spaces, and expose young people to experiences that broaden their possibilities. Rooted in faith, service, and unconditional love, we believe every student deserves the resources, encouragement, and opportunities needed to discover their potential and build a successful future.

The Legacy Foundation of SC creates opportunities for students to learn, grow, explore, and thrive beyond the traditional classroom. We work to bridge educational and opportunity gaps by providing programs and experiences that support the whole student - academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.

Our work centers on four key areas:

Student Academic Enrichment – Strengthening academic skills through tutoring, literacy and math support, and supplemental learning opportunities.

The SafeZone Project – Creating safe, supportive spaces where young people can develop confidence, resilience, healthy relationships, and socio-emotional skills.

Creative Learning Experiences – Introducing students to educational field trips, arts and cultural activities, career exploration, and experiences that broaden their view of what is possible.

Wellness Initiatives – Promoting healthy minds and bodies through wellness education, athletic camps, physical activity, self-care, and positive youth development.

Through strategic partnerships with schools, families, community organizations, and public and private partners, we connect students to resources and experiences that inspire achievement today and prepare them for success tomorrow.
