Who We Are

The National Society of Daughter of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), founded in 1980 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., is a non-profit, non-political, volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America's future through better education for children. The Emily Geiger Chapter of NSDAR is located in Bluffton, South Carolina. The Chapter was founded in 2005 and has grown from 23 founding members to well over 100 members and growing.

What We Do

For more than a century members of NSDAR have dedicated themselves to historic preservation, promotion of education and encouragement of patriotic endeavor. Our members are women in a wide range of ages and life stages active in both DAR and different community organizations and philanthropies. We volunteer in various capacities, both as individuals and as a group. We contribute hundreds of hours annually to the Bluffton area.
