Volunteer: Volunteer DriversA typical morning volunteering for Meals-on-Wheels would involve picking up 10-15 hot meals at the Meals-on-Wheels office at 9:30am. The office is on Capital Drive on Hilton Head Island. You would then deliver meals to the doors of our clients who are unable to grocery shop and prepare meals on their own. In most cases, you would be done in an hour and a half. You must have a valid drivers license and use your own vehicle. We are very flexible with scheduling. Some drivers will drive as little as twelve times a year, some will drive twice that, some are seasonal, and some are substitutes. We currently need drivers for mid-Island routes.
