Volunteer: Historical Site Tour Guides

Join a great team! The Heritage Library is looking for people to serve as tour characters and docents at 2 historical properties. The library owns Ft. Mitchel, a Civil War era earthworks battery located on Skull Creek, and Zion Chapel of Ease Cemetery on the corner of William Hilton Parkway and Matthews Drive, a Colonial era cemetery that includes grave markers for four American Revolutionary War Patriots and the Baynard Mausoleum. The Library conducts site tours on a seasonal basis and training and costumes are provided.

This position requires teamwork and good people and presentation skills. Tours are presented by groups of 2-4 so this is great opportunity for working with others and building friendships.
