Volunteer: InterviewerThe interviewer is responsible for interviewing each client to verify and document eligibility for food and clothing; and, determine if financial assistance can be provided based on policies. The position requires empathy, patience, non-judgment while keeping in mind the best use of limited resources, and the policies and procedures. The volunteer would be utilizing a web-based data tracking software to input client data, called Charity Tracker. HELP of Beaufort provides training and support on all aspects of the position: data input, procedures, policy and procedures, and local community resources. A volunteer can choose to volunteer for one or two days a week from 09:15 am – 12:30 pm, Monday – Friday.
HELP is also planning on expanding the services to one evening a week and possibly one weekend a month if it can find volunteers that would be available consistently.
