Volunteer: Handcrafted Furniture Workshop VolunteerRemember when we sat on the porch swing in the evenings and talked about our day? Remember when as kids we watched fireflies on the front lawn and saw the stars come out above our heads? Remember the first time you brought your sweetheart out to the porch for some swingin’? We developed a sense of community on our porch swing. We learned to trust each other as we let go of the day’s light and relaxed into the night. One of our longtime Habitat volunteers , Milton Lawrence, reminisced about those times and had a plan in mind when he donated his carpentry tools to our ReStore. Always thoughtful of ways to continue his giving, he decided to use his talents to design and build swings for the ReStore to sell. Beyond our highest expectations, our gifted crew of volunteer craftsmen have created The Beaufort Collection If you love to work with wood, or paint furniture, then perhaps you would also love to join our team of volunteers who produce The Beaufort Collection. Workshop hours are Tuesday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with a coffee and sweet treats break at 10 am.
