Volunteer: Open Arms Children's Home Basic Needs (updated 8/29/25)

We have updated our needs for the teen residents of the Open Arms Children's Home

Shaving cream Lotion Plastic toothbrush cases small bottles of mouthwash Bath Soap (Dove unscented)  Shampoo Razors for teens Feminine hygiene products Deodorant Underwear for teens White pillowcases Hair care products for all hair types Individually wrapped snack foods (examples below)

 

Volunteers prepare or purchase snacks for all the children (we house up to 15).  Items are delivered to the CAPA Office and will be distributed to the home.  This is very important all year long, especially with a house full of teenagers. We greatly need individually wrapped snacks and individual drinks (i.e. juice). Suggestions:

"SlimJims" Takis Pringles cereal bars crackers Little Debbies"hot" chips (any assortment)

Volunteer: CAPA's Closet Thrift Store

We cannot run the thrift store without our wonderful, dedicated volunteers.  As a volunteer at the thrift store, you will:

sort price display items run the cash register help our driver pick up large items test electronics staff the store during open hours.

Saturday's help is ALWAYS needed. Groups are also welcome!
