Impact Mentoring at the HH schools

This program was started 25 years ago in the HH schools by a person called Buck Edwards. He retired 3 1/2 years ago and I took over the program. It has been a wonderful program and has really been a help with kids who were heading to become dropouts.

Students are placed with adults, men with the boys and women with girls. These students are selected by the guidance counselors at the early years in the elementary school. We hope that the students will stay with their mentors all the way to 12th grade. There are some of us who have had that happen and it's a good feeling.
